Barry has led our Constituency Conservative Policy Forum group for 6 years, which he enjoys, especially capturing constructive feedback on topics from members. That role included both Rutland and Stamford Constituency but before boundary change, for the dissolved Grantham and Stamford Constituency.
A resident of Thurlby near Bourne Lincolnshire for the last 26 years. He was a member of Thurlby Parish Council for 19 years, including 5 years as its Chair. He has a son (Jonathan).
Barry holds a BSc Hons degree and a Diploma in Computing.
Prior to retirement, in his professional Career, Barry has travelled globally and extensively as part of his work. He has held business development and directorship roles representing UK and European Blue-chip companies. A career focus with PFI structures, Airport development, Construction partnering, Airspace management, Defence / Security and Television Broadcasting Systems. He has led, multi- discipline professional expert teams, for project development purposes. Successfully developing, contracting and executing in later years multi-million-pound infrastructure projects worldwide.
