I was born in Leicester and for many years lived in the borough of Charnwood and the fantastic surrounding Leicestershire countryside. During this time I attended Ratcliffe College where I picked up a passion for politics, which I eventually followed through to study at the University of Sheffield, graduating in July 2023. I have only recently moved to Rutland, settling into North Luffenham in 2022 and love everything our small county has to offer. Stamford is a wonderful town to have on your doorstep and I spend a great deal of my freetime there.
Following on from my graduation I began working for Alicia Kearns MP as a Constituency Assistant within her Melton Office and this is a job which I thoroughly enjoy. Alicia is a true tour de force of an MP and she represents Rutland and Melton diligently both at home and abroad.
Politics is my main passion but I also have a keen interest in British History, Travelling, Music and Football. I was lucky enough to have been a season ticket holder during Leicester City's momentus recent history, seeing them gaining promotion; winning the league; Champions League; FA Cup victory and then sadly relegation - quite the roller coaster!
I originally joined the Conservative Party in 2018 as a 17 year old who was always interested but never quite sure about how to get involved. As a young person who has found a path into local politics, I understand the motivations and passions of the next generation of Young Conservatives and I hope to make this association's YC group engaging and worthwhile.
If you are thinking about a career in politics, or are just simply interested in being part of a dynamic and politically minded group of young people, please do consider joining. By joining the association you might find that it presents all sorts of opportunities, insights and benefits and I look forward to seeing you soon.
